Dean Alverson
Dean has over 25 years of executive experience across the health care continuum, including acute care hospitals, emergency medical services, and a wide range of post-acute settings.
He is the former President of CHRISTUS Health Continuing Care, the post-acute division of the 6-billion-dollar Health System. In this role, Dean had responsibility for Home Health, Hospice, LTACH, Pediatric Therapy, Nursing, and Community Based Care.
Dean has been instrumental in developing post-acute strategies for seniors ranging from fall prevention programs (serving on the board of advisors to Phillips Lifeline) to non-clinical and behavioral interventions that improve the quality of life for their patients and customers.
James Douthitt
James “Jim” Douthitt, CPA, is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for LifeCare Home Health Family, bringing over two decades of expertise in strategic planning, corporate development, and financial leadership. A proven leader in healthcare finance, Jim has a track record of successfully driving organizational growth, improving operational efficiency, and executing complex mergers and acquisitions. His career spans leadership roles in diverse healthcare organizations, where he has demonstrated a talent for fostering high-performing teams and delivering measurable results.
Jim is well-regarded for his ability to align operations with strategic goals, enabling rapid business expansion while maintaining financial stability. He has led initiatives that modernized financial systems, implemented data-driven decision-making, and secured substantial funding for organizational growth. His experience includes partnering with CEOs and boards to drive capital acquisition, optimize business processes, and achieve operational turnaround in highly competitive markets.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Jim enjoys an active lifestyle centered around golf, hiking, and spending time at the beach. Whether perfecting his swing on the course, exploring scenic trails, or relaxing by the ocean, he values opportunities to connect with nature and recharge.
Jim holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Western Kentucky University and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA). His leadership extends beyond the workplace through service on hospital boards and advisory councils, showcasing his commitment to advancing the healthcare industry and his local community.

Adam brings over a decade of healthcare experience across sales, operations, finance, and corporate development functions to the role of Vice President of Strategy & Chief of Staff.
He formerly served in leading roles at organizations including Care Values, Inc., Athenahealth, and Relay Investments. His professional career has placed an emphasis on corporate development and innovation across healthcare services and healthcare technology sectors.
Adam received his MBA with a concentration in Health Care Management from The Wharton School and completed his undergraduate studies at Yale University. He resides in Dallas, TX with his wife and children.

With 40+ years of experience in People Strategy across healthcare and additional diverse environments, Lori serves as a strategic business partner focused on employee relations and human capital management.
Previously, Lori served as the Director of HR for Daybreak Ventures, a multi-site skilled nursing operator. Lori ensures people and strategies are in place with the company culture to align with vision, mission and goals.
Lori is an active SHRM member and SPHR certified. Originally from Wheaton, Illinois, she now resides in Denton, Texas.

Sheila Walton joined the LifeCare Home Health Family in 2024 as Vice President of Clinical Operations for Home Health.
With over 25 years of experience in both acute and post-acute care, Sheila is a seasoned healthcare executive. She has held senior leadership roles in home care organizations and previously served as a recognized Regional Vice President. Her career includes a strong track record of success in home health and hospice administration, where she has led operations, driven strategic sales growth, implemented quality improvement initiatives, and contributed to financial performance and profitability.
Outside of work, Sheila enjoys spending time with her husband, Bob, their two children, and one granddaughter. She loves to travel and can often be found enjoying time on the water.
